A Dream We Dreamed: A New Orleans Tribute To Phil Lesh, will take place on Thursday, May 1st at The Joy Theater. The show will feature artists from across the spectrum of improvisational music coming together to pay their respects to one of the architects of the community, Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, who sadly passed away in late 2024.
The show will feature a wide variety of artists who all had musical relationships with Phil Lesh, or were inspired by his playing and his unique spirit:
Eric Krasno (Soulive), Jay Lane (Dead & Company), Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits, Billy & The Kids), George Porter Jr. (The Meters), Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk), Duane Betts (The Allman Betts Band), Al Schnier (moe.), Rob Derhak (moe.), Vinnie Amico (moe.), Karina Rykman, Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band) & Nicki Bluhm
The musical director will be Ross James of the Terrapin Family Band
